I have four to post today. They have all been painted recently, the first one was done for a plein-air painting competition in Spring City, Utah. I had a great time, and it was a good show! I plan on doing it next year as well. (Moving Cows, 12x16, Oil)
(9x12, Oil, View From the Cemetary)
(9x12, Roof Patterns, Oil)
10 x 28, Oil, Down the road, (this one was only half done outside, I took it back to the studio to finish it up.)
Let's see your newest ones!
I like these very much - nice work.
Nice ones Wineguard!
Here is the latest plein air painting..
This painting was painted on a snowy October morning. The snow was falling and I decided to park the car, open up the window, set my French esel on the passenger seat and paint. 1st time for painting from inside a car.5x7 oil on canvas board...
Jb, I really like your painting !

Here is my latest Plein Air painting from Halloween morning.
A great day to paint outside!!
Also posted on Facebook under Iowa Plein Air Painters...
Very nice painting--particularly "Down the Road" and the "View from the Cemetery".
Those are some great paintings. I do not paint outdoors much, but I have to say this makes me want to try and do that more. I don't say I don't paint outdoors a lot, just done it few times with watercolors. I really like the "roof patterns", really good feeling of outdoors.

Set up an easel, go and give it a try.
Unless you live where it's below freezing right now like I do. Since I use oil paints it's not a problem to paint plein air all winter long. That is until my fingers & feet freeze...
Great Painting, I remember the first time i painted from my car. It was snowing also but i found a view like this that i really wanted to capture. Kind of nice getting to have the heater on too!
