Hey all,

New around these parts.  I'm 22, pushing 23, and I just found a landscape painting hanging in my 83 year old grandfather's carpentry workshop.  He claims it must be around one hundred years old, as it was around when he was a child.  He says his aunt purchased it from a local artist (I live in northwest ohio) who she felt had promise.

It's in pretty poor condition, but nonetheless I'm trying to identify the location in the painting and/or the artist who painted it.  There is no visible signature or artist mark to indicate who made it.  Can anyone help me?

I don't know how to google search something like this with so little information about it, so I came here.

Photo of the painting, taken with my iPad.  Not the highest quality, sorry for that.

I tried to find this painting on google, but didn't get any result. There are other similar paintings also, but unable to find about the artist.

Are you able to see the back of the painting to see is there is anything there?
