Alex, thank you It is in watercolor.
Karen, Bonnie, Jan, and Nealey, thank you all.
The memorial it's self is VERY, very nice. It is on the order of the wall at the Vietnam Memorial but with descriptions of each of the wars in Ohio boys and girls fought. You can buy a paving brick and put a name on it in remembrance of some one. My wife's (Susan) dad's name is there, WW!!.
They have done more work on the place since we were first there. One of the new things they have done is added a fighter jet with a "Pilot " in it.

Charlie well done on the barn. Old barns are always fun to do and the flag makes it special.

Nealey, beautiful work!!! Great hair.
C&Cs always welcome
Nealey, Wow, this took my breath away. Your drawing has a nice softness that fits with their youth but still has lots of contrast to bring the it to life. You captured their interest in the parade and their likeness. Wonderful drawing.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
I am so happy that you liked my drawing of "Watching The Parade". Thank you so much for your comments Jen, Alex, Charlie, Karen and Bonnie. Being in this group keeps pushing me forward and I thank everyone for that! Have a great weekend.
Thought I'd post my W.I.P on the tropical fish since things have been a little quiet here. Have a great weekend. acrylic WIP
Karen, great work so far. I love that point nosed fish's expression.
I started a small summer beach painting today as part of the summer fun theme. I got the reference from Wet Canvas. it is just a small painting 6x6 in oil. I need to make some adjustments on the boy and fix the sea and sand. I didn't actually sketch the figures but just shaped them with a paintbrush.
I had started a 16x20 painting of the fish and other underwater stuff but could not get into it so set it aside. I should finish this one on Monday and then I am off to see the other set of grands for a couple of weeks.
