This is a still life I did on an oak panel.  It is 11x14 also, and I wanted to show how wood is open to a lot of subjects.

That is very unique, I love it!  I always love florals, but it's difficult to find a new way to do them, and you've definitely succeeded.  I've also been wondering about using panels or wood myself.

I like doing botanicals also. Very lively with lots of movement and nice colors..Maybe you should join ASBA  American Society of Botanical Artists..look up the website..you can google and go to membership and see what the members do..I am a member and love to recieve their bi-monthly magazine..has tons of info....good luck.

I like your use of just the right amount of  "outlining" to emphaysize details, like along the stems and certain parts of the flowers. enough to draw your eye in, and enough left up to the imagination.
