I won't be able to upload any more work for a while as I have injured the thumb on my right hand. I can hold a brush for a short time but my hand aches after a while.

Anyway just to give you all a rest from my work here is the last one for a while....linked to the horse theme this is a dressage movement. A4 on HP paper...it was too large to scan properly so you will have to imagine another half inch above the top-hat!!!

Sarah, sorry to hear you have injured your thumb. That can be unbelievably awkward in a whole number of ways. Hope it heals fast and that you are left handed!

I like the dressage horse as you have captured the movement of the horse and pose of the rider so well. Not easy to do.

Thanks for you concern Jen,

I am right handed but I have tried to use my left hand too as much as possible since I had a fall a few years ago. I can't paint left-handed!!!!.

Hi All,

At last I have something to share with you! We have had a very busy time over the last few months - among other things we travelled to Colombia to spend some time with our son, his girlfriend and their new baby daughter (our ninth grandchild).  But it is back to reality now and hopefully I will be able to get some work done.

What a great selection of pictures from which to choose - it was difficult to decide what to do.

graphite on textured drawing paper 33cm x 22cm

Hello Sonia,

interesting drawing...particularly like his left shoulder/arm (facing viewer) and the guitar.

Sarah ~ I hope your thumb is feeling better by now!  Nice WC of the horse and rider too.

Sonia ~ Nice to see you post again!  Nice drawing of the guitar player.  Especially like the details on his vest.  The Darks really pop (as Jen would say)!

Good job!

Comments and critiques are welcome.

Sarah ~  Absolutely lovely WC of the sunrise  (or sunset)!  Bold and dark - really striking.  Yes
