Thank you, Nealey.  Buckie ha a lot of medical  problems,  but we took him and made his life the best we could.  Nona was a puppy mill.   They think she had 6 to 8 litters in her first 6 years of life.  She is out of that business now.  Big black dogs, like Bear,  are hard to place and he was so sweet at the shelter, which is a  high kill one, that someone post him on FB and my wife saw his story and called bout him.  He had made friends with a little dog that was scared.  So they were looking for a home for him because he was so sweet.  Lucky us and him.

"NEIGHBOR BOY"   GRAPHITE ON PAPER   8 1/2 " x  10"

I couldn't draw him within bars!!  He seems so happy, I thought bubbles were more fitting.  I was trying to make an interesting composition.  Don't know how successful I was.

Comments and critiques are welcome.

Nealey, great job, you nailed him. I love the bubbles!  My little one keeps saying " bubbles" whenever we go outside so I spend a lot of time blowing them!

SOrry guys, it is probably best that this month is carried over, as currently I'm experiencing a lot of backlogging of emails and work to be done.  This therefore means I am unable to put my attention to delivering a new set of photos for you.

C&c are welcome! Love what you do.

Love who you are. Love nature. Love art.

Nealey great job!  The bubbles are great and a perfect likeness.  Thunk, thanks for considering hosting.  We now will all have another month to attempt this challenge.

Sarah, welcome back!  Hope you had a good vacation and decent weather and that your brollie & wellies didn't get over-used.  This is another fine WC of the rasberries (?).  They make my mouth water for them!

Thank you to Jen and Charlie and Karen and Sarah for commenting on Marsha's neighbor child.  I don't personally like portraits with the teeth showing, so this was a real challenge to not give him a "cartoonish" feel.

Comments and critiques are welcome.

Thanks Charlie and Nealey,

ONE  dry day in the week Nealey..   poured with rain and my trip was all about viewing famous gardens! Hardly any sketching done as we were outdoors 90% of the time.

 Yes, they are raspberries.

The drawing of the child certainly didn't look cartoonish so you definitely achieved your goal.
