I agree with Karen.
Sorry to hear about Marsha, wishing her all the best!!!
Thunk, new photos are always fun. I did not have time for the last challenge and I will probably only be able to stop in sporadically. So the May challenge is still on my agenda. But Jen, Sarah Thunk, Charlie; Nealey and Karen did a few so they might like some new photos. ???
We will be moving to a new place in august. I do hope to find time to participate. Doesn`t look good. Can't do any Encaustic on wood, new place will be alot smaller and no art space.
I will try to write some comments on monday. I always wanted to write some but the last couple weeks were stressfull.
C&C always welcome
There is still a week to go yet and although I shall be away for most of it I might still be able to do another 'Challenge' for May.
I would prefer a new selection if at all possible but will of course support the majority decision.
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
Well I am off tomorrow so will let it ride. Maybe you guys could add a couple of new ones if you had a mind to. The site has been so inactive lately it is a shame. I will check in when I can but hope people get more involve soon or we will just die out. Have fun and paint, sketch and create!!!! :)
Jen C & C's always welcome
Sorry Sarah and Claudia, I missed your replies. Sarah if you want to work with Thunk and come up with a new challenge that is fine with me I am just out of time. It is always good to have new material. I have e-mail so if you have a problem you can get help from me on this site and e-mail. Make sure you drop Courtney Jorden a line to tell her you will be posting a new challenge. Just start a conversation with her. Thanks.
Jen, sorry to hear of your grandson's accident. It doesn't matter to me which way we go on June's challenge. I had a couple I was interested in doing on the May challenge however after spending so much time at work I'm now trying to get caught up on everything else. Have a good trip and take care of your little man, I'm sure he will be glad you will be there and it will pick up his spirits.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
Thanks Bonnie. Keeping him down and happy will be a challenge as he is an active 6 year old boy who is not allowed to run, jump, swim etc. for most of the Summer. Hopefully I can keep him happy! :)
didn't mean I would work with Thunk on a new Challenge...I am going offline now as like you I am all packed and ready to go away on holiday.
Sorry if I confused you...hope you don't get too stressed out and end up unwell yourself!!!!!
Sarah, sorry mis understood. That's fine. Yes it is always a balancing act with keeping up with kiddies and not killing Granny! :)
Thought I would throw this in the mix to keep it going.

"Buckie", 12.5” X 15 3/8” acrylic, May 28, 2010
Charlie, thanks for keeping us going. I really like the rusty old lantern very nicely done. The dogs are all very sweet too.
i am keeping busy with the boys here. Going off to bed as they wake up early.!
Peter, welcome to the forum. I hope you will join in and show us your work.
Charlie... thanks for keeping things going. It had been really quiet lately. Really like the rust color on the old lantern. The puppies have such personality. The last one looks like he is waiting for a treat. Great job.
C&Cs always welcome
Thank you, Jen and Karen. They are sweet dogs. They are all rescued dogs. Buckie is no longer with us, but we loved him to the end. He was our first one. We miss him so! Hard to lose a pet.
Charlie these are great watercolors! The Old Lantern painting brings back memories for me ~ I like old stuff! The rusty color and battered shape are well done. Your three rescue dogs made me smile, especially the last one. Bucky's pose tells a story and I'm sorry he's gone. Losing our pets is very heartbreaking, I know. When our last dog passed away, I grieved for a year. It took two years before I would consider another dog. Our current "best friend" is also a rescue dog & we are so happy he is part of our life..
Comments and critiques are welcome.
