Thanks Charlie and Jen...in a hurry as per usual!
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
C&c are welcome! Love what you do.
Love who you are. Love nature. Love art.
20 minute sketch done of Sadie. Hence the slight error on the eyes, and the head shape. This month will be like this for me. Very quick sketches. Might do her with more detail and in colour if I have time. Must get back to preparing those exams. For some reason it posted this one sideways again...sorry...
Thunk, nice sketch of. Sadie. I like the directional stokes. We like to see anything you do sketches or paintings as long as you are creating and having fun. Good luck with those exams!
Jen C & C's always welcome
Kerthunkeh, very nice.

Well started a new painting from Sarah's reference today. I had to leave the studio early today as a big thunderstorm was on it's way, but just as we opened the door is slashed down and we got soaked!!! Just lots of rain fortunately!
Started with a peach background and worked from there.
10x12 oil on canvas
got to rework the water as it is too blue
Hello Jen...coming along nicely....
Sarah, good job on the underwater painting. You managed to capture his almost transparent body and it does have that underwater look.
Thunk, your sketches are great. I am with Sarah and especially like the puffin. He/she has great eyes that capture you. Good to see you managed to get some sketching in with your busy month. Good luck with exams.
Jen, the new work in progress is coming along beautifully. The sky looks wonderful. Will be looking forward to it's progress.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
Sarah great job on the crayfish
Thunk very nice sketches
Jen looking good. Love the sky.
C&Cs always welcome
I really haven't done much painting; I usually draw, but I decided to try and do a quick watercolor of "Ballyvaughan". I LOVE Ireland, so this seemed to be a perfect starting point. Granted, it was very quick, and darker than the photo, but I enjoyed trying my hand at watercolor for the first time. Once it dries, I might go back and add in some more detail. :)
I have very much enjoyed seeing everyones' pieces on this challenge!
MeganJo, glad you joined us you are very welcome. This is a lively sketch of Ballyvaughan and you have definitely captured the essence of the scene. I hope you find more references to inspire you. Our challenges never close so you can look through all 40 plus of them and see if there is anything there too. The only rule is you must post in whichever challenge you have the reference from. If you have any non challenge work you would like to share with us you can put that in the Chatter page. Have fun!
Thanks so much, Turps245! I am usually OCD with my art, and everything has to be perfect, but I just wanted to try something really quick. Not perfect, but I like it! :) haha I will definitely try out some more photos.
Megan, very nice watercolor. Water color is all abut building up the colors.
Megan, very nice to see your work here in the challenge. As Jen mentioned your piece is lively with lots of movement. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
