Still on a roll! Today I started this fishing gnome who is enjoying the spring weather. Not sure if this one will survive but we will see! I stayed until dusk at the studio enjoying the quiet after everyone went. Hopefully the leaf will stay flat and he wont fall over! Lots to go wrong with this one. He has hollow legs and body, newspaper in his head and his arms are all clay. Time will tell.
No rude comments Gerri!
Jen C & C's always welcome
Rude comments from me never.
I will try and send a couple of pics tomorrow
Maybe your gnome needs a duck call instead of a fishing pole. He may want to go to Stuttgart
C and C always welcomed
Thanks Gerri I appreciate it.
What is in Stuttgart ?? I can't make duck call thingeys they would be too small, he is stuck with the pole! I will remove it from his body once his hands and arms are fixed!
Stuttgart Arkansas is the duck hunting capital of the world. How long have you lived in Arkansas anyway. ;)
42 years! Never went duck hunting or calling I'm a City girl! :)
Once again the month has flown by...though I'm feeling much better after foot surgery, now I'm playing catch-up so I don't think it's looking like I'll get in on this month. Nice photo selection - thanks for all that work, Karen. Just glancing, it appears there's wonderful and also fun artwork posted, but I'd rather comment a bit later when I have a few more moments to focus. I had a small watercolor, approx. 4 x 6", which fit the theme, so will inc..

Kim, Sorry your foot has taken time to heal. Hope you can join us next time. Lovely WC of the bunnies playing in the garden. A perfect picture for the Spring!
Guys thank you so much those who have and are sending pictures. Please make sure you name the picture and site the photographer when you send them to me.
Kim great to see you back. I'm happy to hear your foot is healing. Beautiful watercolor.
C&Cs always welcome
Kim ~ Nice to see you here. Your WC with bunnies is lovely. I esp. like the way you painted the boards on the building. I hope you will be feeling normal again soon & I know how difficult it is to do art when everyday chores are taxing. It's been a hard season for many of us...
Comments and critiques are welcome.
First I want to thank all of you who sent potluck pictures. what a lot to choose from. I think I have it done but I made hard choices as there were so many good ones. Thanks guys.
Next I think the fishing gnome is finished. Put on some details and cleaned him up a bit.
It is Spring but not warm enough to awaken this Dormouse! Mixed media, w/col. pastel and pen.
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
Jen your fishing gnome is great. Can't wait to see him fired.
Sarah Your dormouse is so cute. He looks quite cozy susurrounded by the leaves.
Jen, I'm enjoying all your gnome creations, especially the fishing gnome. Will they all go outside? I would landscape a special "gnome forest"! Hope you're not getting hit by any tornadoes ~ even here in NY, thefierce wind has been rattling the house all day.
Sarah ~ I'm loving your "dormant dormouse"! At first glance, I thought he was an egg.
Sarah, your dormouse is delightful. I don't blame him sleeping through all the sound and fury we have had and it is probably too cold for him in England!
Karen and Nealey thanks for the good words on My latest gnome effort!
Nealey I do put the gnomes outside if they make it through the process. I leave them out all year but did move the ones near the house this year because I was afraid an huge icicle would impale them. The little one around the mail box did just fine even in the ice!
Sarah cute little picture and well done. Just remember what the dormouse said.
