Challenge: Create artwork based on any or all of these photos and themes. Use any medium and any style. Stick to the photo(s) exactly or just use them as a starting point - feel free to crop, change colors, composition, add or subtract elements or take a complete departure. In other words, HAVE FUN and keep painting!
Theme, Out of the Winter doldrums, Think Spring. Most of us have had a long hard Winter this year. For the theme lets think Spring. April Showers, May Flowers, Easter, Bunny, Chics, home improvement, gardening.
I wanted to give a variety of photos that we could all have fun with.
I hope everyone has a great time and finds some inspiration in these photos.
Even though these Winter scapes are beautiful I am happy to have Spring take over

C&Cs always welcome
After posting the pics I thought I'd try a quick sketch of Bob. I didn't get the angle right and can see a lot of mistakes but there is a resemblance.
Oops forgot the attachment. Done in graphite
Darn...guess I'm not supposed to post it. One more try.
Karen, you have posted some good photos for us to play with. SPRING - YES!! Nice quick sketch of your hubby, Bob. He looks like a happy guy!
Comments and critiques are welcome.
P.S KAREN ~ YOUR EASTER BREADS MAKE MY MOUTH WATER! I haven't had those treats since my mom-in-law passed away.

I see you are a PMP viewer. Photos from there always awesome.
Thanks for providing the inspirational ref's for April, hope I can manage to tackle a few of them but will be busier than usual this month with family celebrations.
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
Bonnie and Sarah thanks for looking. I hope you can both find some time this month to do some art.
Hello Karen...hope this will be acceptable
with all the flooding in many parts of this country the rivers/streams are very high. Spring has another meaning!!!!
Sarah yes this is a concern many areas have to deal with as the snow melts and rains come. Your water looks very active and the colors create a sense of concern
Sarah ~ Karen commented on the mood of your river WC. She is right - it is very unsettling, for some reason.
Sarah, I hope you are safe from flooding in your neck f the woods. Those small streams that look so peaceful can change not a torrent so quickly. I like your painting it looks more familiar than threatening.
