Hi everyone. David Kassan mentioned to me that he knew people who were drawing with their iPhone, and I asked him to send me a few examples. His experiments with small apps for his iPhone are producing some wonderful work. See my blog post about the topic.

Is anyone working in this fashion? We'd love to see some examples, if so!

Bob

There are a few apps in the Apple App Store with Sketches in the title. Which is the exact app he uses. Any ideas? Just getting into brushes myself since The New Yorker cover article.

David said he tried several apps. I believe he used the Sketches app for the drawing posted on my blog. I believe he has played with the Brushes app, too.

At the apps' low prices, one can experiment with little risk.

I'm just bummed that I have to wait until Apple partners with Verizon before I get an iPhone. Coverage by other companies is poor in NYC.

Bob,

I'm in the same Verizon boat as my wife is a Verizon retiree. I hope Apple & Verizon keep talking. I picked up the iPod Touch a few months ago when I had rotator cuff surgery.(Don't recommend it.) With my shoulder immobilizer on it allowed me to keep somewhat in contact since I could not use my laptop or desktop.

Still can't work at an easel but can hold my cameras for a while. I'll explore Sketch and report back. Best,

Dennis
