Hi everybody! I last dabbled in painting (oil) in Junior High School over 20 years ago. I never really played much with watercolor, but my wife got me a set for Christmas and I've been trying to develop a 'loose' watercolor style after seeing some works of Ron Ranson and Ted Wesson, etc... I know I have a lot of work to do, but I really love the impressionistic, loose watercolor style. On this piece, I only penciled in the horizon line and basic shape of the mountains. The rest was done with a large Ron Ranson hake, 3/4" sable flat and a #2 liner. It's on Strathmore 140# paper using a W&N Cotman Compact Set. I'm having a fun time getting back into art after such a long absence. I've done 4 pieces so far, I thought I would share to see if I'm at least on the right track! Thanks so much for any comments & critique.
