Thank you Karen! I will be posting the August challenge tomorrow night. Fingers crossed!!!!
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Nealey, I just brought up the hosting schedule but did not see your e-mail. Glad you got it sorted and I look forward to seeing your references.
Alex, thank you for hosting and the wonderful references in July. I am sorry I was not able to participate more this month. Howard gets his other eye done next week so I will be involved with him for a day or so. Hopefully it all goes as well as the last.
Jen C & C's always welcome
Well, my August posting will have to wait 'til tomorrow. I did the heading ( was going to add the photos after I re-set my router .... speed problems) & tried to post, but it is blocked until an administrator okays it. Sorry people.
Nealey, we'll all be watching for it!
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
The August Challenge is up! I hope there is something interesting for all of you here.
Great references for the challenge Nealey.
This is another WIP for my series of Carbondale. The demolition of an old building everyone remembered as the flower. It is now a parking lot. I have to let it dry then go to the next area since there is so much going on. I'm hoping to finish by November for my show. I'm on vacation next week and work has us on extra hours. Hoping to squeeze time in between for the challenge.
C&Cs always welcome
Karen this is coming along nicely. The brick work is very well done and I see that there will be a machine tearing down the building. It looks like another great piece.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
Karen ~ This WIP is going to be an interesting painting. Was the flower actually painted on the side of the building in real life? Can't wait to see the finished painting. This is going to be a great addition to your series!
Karen, you take on some really difficult paintings and I am sure this one will be another winner. Your show will be sure to wow everyone.
Thank you Bonnie, Nealey and Jen. Nealey the flower was painted on the building in real life.
I 'lost' this thread/forum...don't know how or why but it came back today!
Karen the painting looks very interesting so far.
Did you ever repair that other painting to your satisfaction?
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
All C & C's always welcome
Helloo Joyce!! It's great to hear from you. Summer is flying by fast, as it usually does in the northern states. Congrats on your retirement and I'm so happy you have an art wall in your home ~ SO MUCH BETTER THAN UNDER THE BED! Maybe you can share some of your new work. I know I'd like to see it. Welcome back!
Joyce, glad you are still watching over us. Congratulations on your retirement and art wall. Hope to see you joining us again soon ready to fill up your wall!
Thanks for the grads on my retirement which I love. Also my art wall was a total surprise to me, I do love it. Enjoy
