Nealey, I just brought up the hosting schedule but did not see your e-mail. Glad you got it sorted and I look forward to seeing your references.

Alex, thank you for hosting and the wonderful references  in July. I am sorry I was not able to participate more this month. Howard gets his other eye done next week so I will be involved with him for a day or so. Hopefully it all goes as well as the last.

Great references for the challenge Nealey.

This is another WIP for my series of Carbondale.  The demolition of an old building everyone remembered as the flower.  It is now a parking lot.  I have to let it dry then go to the next area since there is so much going on.  I'm hoping to finish by November for my show.  I'm on vacation next week and work has us on extra hours.  Hoping to squeeze time in between for the challenge.  Huh?

Karen this is coming along nicely. The brick work is very well done and I see that there will be a machine tearing down the building. It looks like another great piece.

Karen ~ This WIP is going to be an interesting painting.  Was the flower actually painted on the side of the building in real life?  Can't wait to see the finished painting. This is going to be a great addition to your series!

I 'lost' this thread/forum...don't know how or why but it came back today!

Karen the painting looks very interesting so far.

Did you ever repair that other painting to your satisfaction?

Hi too all, just a note to let everyone know I'm still watching over you all. There's been a lot of nice art work showing up here I love looking at them. I hope each of you are having a sweet summer. Keep painting and Jen your clay art is good keep that up too. I'm now retired 3 weeks now, loving each day more and more. I'm excited about painting and have done a few paintings. I now have a wall with my own art (thanks to my husband) hanging on a wall in our family room. Take care, Joyce

Helloo Joyce!!  It's great to hear from you.  Summer is flying by fast, as it usually does in the northern states.  Congrats on your retirement and I'm so happy you have an art wall in your home ~ SO MUCH BETTER THAN UNDER THE BED!  Maybe you can share some of your new work. I know I'd like to see it. Welcome back! Big Smile
