I haven't kept up with the Chatter lately, so looking back.......
Joyce! How nice to see you post again. I wondered where you were. Hope you can participate again when you have the time, or just pop in to chat!
Thunk! Thanks for sharing some of your nature photos. You have a nice camera!
Karen! I'm happy for all your achievements in the art show & galleries ~ FUN! It's nice to see you with your framed painting. Also, your Pittsburgh landscape is really shaping up. Your new painting of the coal landscape is interesting. Glad you tackled something regional.
FOR EVERYONE IN USA, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Nealey... thank you for your comments.
C&Cs always welcome
Hi Karen! I hope your Pittsburg painting is almost done. That would be a wonderful pick for the gallery hanging!
Hi Jen! I hope you're having a good time with your family.
I have a drawing ALMOST READY to post for May. Tomorrow should be a quiet day so I can finish! I WILL be finished before the month is over lol.
Underpainting done for new piece. Old station in Carbondale PA.
Karen this underpainting looks like it will shape up to become another masterpiece. Good subject - we have quite a few old stations in the area; most have been re-purposed but you can still see the original design. Have fun with this!
Thank you Nealey...I got the sky in today.
Karen the landscape is coming along nicely. In your tonal painting, I thought the clouds were mountains! The RR track is esp. nice, moving my eye to the gap in the background.
Karen this coming along very nicely. You do really nice work.
C and C always welcomed
Hey Geri, good to hear a "peep" out of you! Hope you're up on your feet again.
Thanks Nealey and Geri. Is anyone painting or drawing? Its been really quiet on both forums.
Got a little more done.
Karen, I really like how this is shaping up. The sky and greenery are really well done and the rails are very believable and perspective on them and the buildings is great. You make a quite complex painting look easy as usual. What size is it?
i will be back home on Sunday after a fun if busy trip with the kidlets.
Jen C & C's always welcome
I agree with all that has been said...I enlarged it and thought the left hand side of the track -facing us- the ground and bank very well painted..
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
Hi Karen, this is a lovely landscape. I very much like the palette you're using - to my eye, it's unusual but lovely. And I appreciate your posting it in stages so we could see how it developed.
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
