Karen, WOW great news. I'm so pleased for you and keep us posted so we can share in this wonderful accomplishment.
Joyce, nice to see you drop by. Your retirement is really getting close now. Have you got lots of plans for all the things you want to do? I'm sure we will see more of your lovely paintings when you have more time.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
Thank you Bonnie
C&Cs always welcome
Working on Pittsburgh again.
Karen, wow you are a gluten fot punishment.! You do these buildings so well! You are going to have an outstanding collection to show!
Jen C & C's always welcome
Karen, this is wonderful. I agree with Jen, you are a master with the buildings. Certainly a great piece for your show.
Thanks Jenn and Bonnie. Now the roads and bridge are driving me crazy. Love a challenge.
Had a great time tonight at the Pocono Arts Council Artist reception and awards.
Karen, so good to see you. This is such a nice photo and I see your challenge painting. The frame shows it off beautifully. It looks like you were having a good time, must have been wonderful. I'm sure you will figure out the roads and bridge, can't wait.
Just informing people of what I am up to, artisitically. I am currently going to spend a beautiful summer weather afternoon at the University Botanical gardens to take many reference photographs, and to do a little botanical drawing as well. Looking forward to some 3 hours of fun!
Will probably post a few pieces on here if I get some drawing done.
C&c are welcome! Love what you do.
Love who you are. Love nature. Love art.
Karen, what a lovely picture it is so nice to have a face to go with the name. Looks like your show was a great success and in a nice place too.. I agree your painting looks wonderful framed.
Thunk, it sounds like a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Hope you post your efforts.
So, these are definitely a few of my favourite photos. Overall, I took over 500 photos, but not all of them will be good enough for use in referencing. These in particular inspired me. I used a sony 18 megapixel camera to capture these, and I definitely plan to turn them into watercolour paintings or ink drawings later.
Having trouble posting the others. Not sure why.
There are others, but the website is playing up a bit. I'll just post some things when I am done painting some of them.
Thunk, it sounds like you had a great day and got lots of photo's to do some art projects. I think my favorite is the foxglove, but these are all very nice. It is always great to have an outing to inspire you artistically. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you Jenn and Bonnie. I did have a great time. I just got an email from the gallery. Sunset will move to the county gallery for June and July and they offered to hang another painting in the gallery. Now I have to choose another.
Thunk it sounds like a great time in the gardens. Great pics.
Coal was very important to the area i live in so I decided to try and paint the coal feilds still in existence. This has been a real challenge. Here is the work in progress.
