I did this little sketch on Saturday and finished it today. Just a small one about 5x7 the reference from WC by Rozzi. Our Landlady at the studio wanted us to paint a couple of small paintings to decorate the downstairs to make it look more artsy.

The trees look a bit lollipopy!

Thanks Bonnie.  I did some work on the letters.  They are time consuming but I think it is going to work.  I'll post again when I get further along.

Hello, Slike to doam et al!

My son found this site for me and it looks wonderful. I am a new watercolorist and am interested in connecting with other artists and art communities.

My current goal for myself is to be able to create the intense values of light and dark so prominenet in Rennaissance painting in watercolors. But there's so much more I'd also like to understand...Anyway, so happy to have found you!

I also organize art holidays for people to France and Italy. It's a fun way to travel and meet people. Right now I am in the States until end April.Smile

Hi, Lisas and welcome to the forum. We are all friendly artists here all at different stages of our journey so just jump in. I have no idea how the odd line got in either!

To join in the current challenges look at challenge 41 and see if you are inspired by any of the references or theme. The challenges never close so you can post in anyone if one of them inspire you. You must just post your painting in that challenge. You can also post and chat none challenge work in chatter thread. If you would put your name and if you would like cc in the signature line it would help us know you a little better. :)

Jen I like your little painting of the old house.  The yellow wheat / grass and  the blue sky sets it off.  Agree about the trees and they may be a little dark but as a whole well done.

Karen this is a nice beginning of the "cycle by the sea".  Fabulous waves!

Geri, Good ink drawing of the "cat".  You must post a photo of the T shirt!

Comments and critiques are welcome.

Jen, this will be a welcome addition to your studio walls.  You are so lucky to have a place like that to do art with your friends.  :)

Lisa welcome to the group!

Thanks Nealey and Gerri. Yes I am very thankful for our group and our wonderful studio.

Gerri are you in contact with Fred. Has he left us for good? I do miss him and his bears and wonderful humour and political commentary. He has been with us from the beginning. Please tell him we want the rest of the story and miss him.
