this must be your best yet...or very close to it! Changing a photograph, even just a little bit, makes your interpretation of it all the more original. The way you have depicted the children (viewpoint from above) makes them look the right size.
p.s.....thanks very much for the personal comment but I make mistakes like anyone else!!!
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
interesting effect.you must have applied the pastel after the ink had dried?
Cristina, your flower is the colors of fire and causes me to think of it as a fire flower. I like the purple sepals against the yellow and orange. It's very lively and appealing. I agree that the horse painting has a lot of movement. You handled the surrounding snow very well and abstractly. This also is lively but in action and not color as the flower is. Both are very nice.
Jen, the addition of color to your snow scene changes it a lot. The children look great. I love the pigtails which you did very well. Their clothing is well done. Your trees look good since you've darkened them. The shadows in the snow are great. It's a fine painting and those children will surely cherish for years to come.
Liz, you handled the snow on the branches very well. It is very attractive and almost abstract work of art. It's good that you're finding time for art.
Sam/Sammy C & C Welcome

I agree, I have to pay more attention to the horse anatomy, even if it's want to be an abstract painting...
..and to the flower,too!
Oh Liz, you did a wonderful job with pastel and ink pen, lovely combination and great effect!
Jan, your pastel is wonderful, you did an excellent job!
Claudia what a great job you did on the hockey ladies, especially on the second try, beautiful and well done!
I love the horses, too!
Joyce, how lovely winter scene with red barns, beautifully done!
Hello Cristina! Mysterious Whispers is a good take on the bird of paradise flower and it also so totally you! I love the textures in It's a Beautiful Day. I think the horse is a little scary (ghostly) in his eye socket though. There is nothing in there - Intentional?
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Hi Jan! This is a wonderful rendition of a pheasant! I know what they look like as I have one mounted above my head at the computer desk! Great job.
