This is 5x7 mechanical pencil on pastel paper.
C and C always welcomed
Geri I like the shapes and proportions in your bird drawing even if it was hurried. When you say pastel paper do you mean you used pastel for a background or is it a paper for pastels?
C&C's are welcome.
(No digital alterations please)
Geri, I understand about not getting anything done in December. I had looked at this pair as well and you did a good job with the mechanical pencil. I especially like their eyes and the turn of the head.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
Very nice drawing!
C & C Welcome
Geri: AWWWWWWW how cute... I love the look the one on the right is giving to the one on the left... good job.

C & C Always Welcome
Geri, this is a very nice quick, graphite drawing. I love these birds and what a better way to start the New Year than with a pair of cuddling birds. They are well drawn with good body proportions. Nice.

Geri nice pencil drawing. Good values and shapes
C&Cs always welcome
You all were tooooo kind in your comments about my drawing. It probably would not made it past the trash if I would have had something else to post.
To answer your question about the paper Lo Ann fabrics had these little 5x7 pads of paper for $1 each clearance. They have no brand name just acrylic, WC or pastel. The pastel is a light gray color and works pretty good for graphite and ink. I would not think that it would be archival.
After C. Pissarro's THE FOUR SEASONS; WINTER. 6' x 9" watercolor. I'm not real proud of this dreary little piece but was a challenge & I'm done with it ~ time to move on.
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Hi Geri! You did a good quick sketch of the cockatoos, I believe they are. I was also "drawn" to this photo - LOL. I have had 3 parrots and a pair of Cockatiels as pets in the past.
Nealey, I'm sorry that you're not pleased with The Four Seasons: Winter. I looked up that piece by Pissarro and must say that I'm impressed with your version. You got all those building in place, the snow looks good and your piece is more golden than Pissarro's. I particularly like the golden sky. Put it aside for a few days and I believe that when you come back to it, you will be most pleased. It's very nice.
Sam thanks for your encouragement. The unfinished piece just sat around tooo long & I began to get an "attitude" with it!!
Nealey, this looks good to me. I really like the left side with the tree out in front. It is a little different but there would be with the watercolour. A very nice winter scene after C. Pissarro's.
Geri your birds are wonderful, I 'm going to do them too and then you can see how GOOD yours are.
All C & C's always welcome
