Alex, Your stippled Holly berries are really well done and I bet the gold berries shine. A great way to sit around waiting for an appointment!

Bonnie, What a great version of O'Keefe's Lillies. You have a good eye for this.

Christa, Welcome to our forum. I hope this is the start to more posts from you. I really like that you have kept the simplicity of the original reference. Your update makes for a stronger composition. Well done.

Catherine, You are putting a lot of thought and work into this and the final will show all your preparations. Well done.

Jose, Simple, beautiful and full of meaning. the true spirit of Christmas!

Sarah, You have drama, colour and the Christmas message all tied up in one beautiful painting. Nice work.

I don't know when I will finish my Santa and boy as the Studio is still iced over and the doors are frozen shut!

Jen C & C's always welcome

Again I am running short of time but I must thank each of you for all the kind comments.....Red is one of my most favourite colours and I think is as difficult to work with as white is.

Jose...lovely painting for your wife to receive.

Karen, you captured the feel of a cold, gray winter day with falling, blowing snow.  As I look at it, I feel that I should go get my coat.  Brrrrrrr!  Very nice winter scene with lots of white.

Hopefully, you are all aware that since there is a white flower posted in the reference photos, you can create a painting using any white flower or flowers.  This is one of my favorites that I painted a while back.

15"x18" using oil pastels on Colorfix paper.
