Hello Sarah ~ A welcoming WC of a country lane. The composition & perspective is pleasing. The addition of your furry Badgers gives the painting some great focus ~ nice painting.
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Welcome Mike, this is the first time I've seen you here so if you have done other challenges sorry I missed your paintings. Your rooster is delightful as for turning the picture each time my daughter sent a picture it needs to be turned too so my thought is Apple needs to work on it. Great job again on the rooster. I love roosters and have a few of them in my kitchen for good luck!
All C & C's always welcome
Well it looks like I should have welcomed a few more here Karen, Denis, Curtis and Bonnie and if I have missed anyone I am so so so sorry.
Jen: note I did add more shading to my last painting and I like it much better. Thanks again for everyone cc's.
Fred keep your bears coming have you thought of halloween outfits for them?
Thx Joyce! yeah, I haven't been for a couple months. Bz with school. Found some downtime between classes to do the rooster. Yeah, Apple does need to fix it, and a few other things!!
Criticism is always welcome. I am trying to learn everything and welcome the knowledge of all!
Sarah, this is such a pretty painting of the country lane in dappled sunlight and the addition of the badgers brings it to life. Just lovely!
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions on my pear. I have been swamped to my eyeballs with consulting work and unable to spend as much time on art as I'd like, but have promised myself to spend at least one day this weekend painting.
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
Hello Nealey and Alex.....thank you for your comments...the leaves are just 'turning' here but with the severe weather forecast ahead the leaves will be blown away very soon.

feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
I would entitle this one ...Something to Crow About....the cockerel symbolises the AD Challenge forum and the three eggs the three years of its existence. Original is 6.5" x 9.5" on heavy Bockingford paper. Watercolour (white is the paper).
Sarah: You definitely have something to crow about with this rooster. what beautiful colors and the blending of them is just perfect... loving it a lot.
Joyce: you make a good welcoming committee.. Good for you.
Alex: Im curious as well,,,, did you start your art class?

C & C Always Welcome
Sarha nice cockerel. I started this too and had to stop and have not abil to force myself back to it. It is not nearly as nice as yours..
C and C always welcomed
Sarah your rooster is great, nice colours. love the background.
Alex your pear is so much better than anything I could do I love it nice colours. I know some don't like it when you outline but I do.
Also thanks everyone for the comments on my little pumkin still life painting. I brought a little stand for it and placed it on my dining room table for a fall theme. Not sure if I said it was a small 8"x6"board or not. I'm happy with it.
Sarah, your rooster WC is fantastic. The composition and the symbolism is charming.
The pictures are wonderful this month. And I wish to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY forum users. And I wish to do a parade route to send you on to your party. I have no lovely bears but you will have to use you imagination. Acrylic on canvas 11x14.
Well I guess we will try this again. This is a 16x20 acrylic using only a plate knife. Not my favorite way to paint or media but this is supposed to be a challenge so what the heck. I think that it is probably finished except for the signature unless you guess can convince me a way to improve it
