Bonnie, hello! Nice CP drawing of the schoolhouse! The perspective looks good & I love the top! I thought it was the one from the challenge photo!
Claudia ~ This painting of the boy stopping off before school is really sweet! It brings back memories of how my children use to dawdle on their way to school. Everything can be soooo interesting in the 3/4 mile between home and destination when you're 10 years old!
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Hello Kim! Thank you for putting the time into challenging us with your lovely photos! I feel bad that I really had no time to do one or two. September was a busy month for me & please don't take it personally that I did not contribute. I started a few drawings of the buildings and fell asleep with pencil in hand on more than one occasion! I hope to see more of your own work in the coming month. You do such nice drawings and paintings.
I can't wait to peek at the October challenge page ~ I saved the best for last!
It is a pleasure to chat with all of you and to share in our creations. PEACE
Jen C & C's always welcome
Its a wonder I ever got an early education. we had puddles in our road and on the way to school, I loved each and everyone of them dearly..... wether I had golashes on or not.

C & C Always Welcome
Hi Jen! Give credit where credit is due! It was Bonnie who did the lovely one room schoolhouse, sadly not me. I never finished a piece for the September challenge.
Bonnie, Alex, Nealey,Jen and Marsha, thank you for your wonderful comments and little stories on my cp drawing of the little boy.
C&C always welcome
I thought I would try out my water soluble pencil. I never had time to submit anything for Sept. challenge, so better late than never??? The dimensions are a little wonky. It was just a quick drawing & wash to experiment. 4" x 6" rough WC paper
Nealey, loving the drawing..... great use of the WS pencils. I like the texture of the rough paper for the subject. really really nice job.

Hi Kim & Marsha! Thank you both. Your praise is certainly appreciated! I'm glad I finally tried that darn water soluble pencil that's been sitting on the table, taunting me for two months...
Nealey, your drawings are always exquisitely rendered and your water-soluble pen drawing of the schoolhouse cupola is no exception. The texture of the paper looks beautiful with the wash, too.
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
Alex ~ Thanks for looking back to Sept. and commenting on my drawing/wash. You are too kind. And also thanx for the word "cupola". I couldn't think of the word!
Nealy I see nothing wrong with your drawing. Maybe some darker darks but that is just a personal opinion.
C and C always welcomed
Hiya Geri! Thanks for your comment. I didn't get the inside of the cupola right, esp. the bell! I was going to darken spots after the wash dried, wandered away, got involved in something else, came back later and I thought, "Good enough!" Hah hah
