American Artist Workshop vs. American Artist magazine?

Hi all,

American Artist Workshop is a quarterly magazine - and American Artist is a monthly I believe. I would like to subscribe to one or the other.

Workshop looks valuable as a learning tool, but I'm not too sure what the content of American Artist is?

Could anyone please also tell me the number of pages typically in each one? I am in the UK, and I can't easily pick up a copy of either one to have a browse through.
