Hey everyone,
I'm not an artist... at least now : ) I saw a special on TV in the US about a painter who uses nature around him to create his pigments and then paints that nature. For instance, for a desert scene, the artist would simply use sand, plants, etc. on spot and make his pigments.. then paint the exact scene matching color to color. I suppose the sky would be the only hard part in a desert situation. At any rate, I saw this a few months ago but cannot remember the artists name, the station it was on, or anything else. I do research for a living but was unable to find anything on the net for this person. I'm sure a lot of people actually do this, I was just hoping to find a website showing an artist, their process and their results. Many thanks to all! : )
All the best,
James
