Hi Heather, nice to see your daffodil sketch. It is a lovely sketch and the daffodil looks like it is nodding in spring. Very nicely done.

Fred, wow your old building picture is well done.  The round building looks so really.  I love the western states and this picture makes me so homesick!

Heather welcome. I love sketching in the evening too. This is a lovely sketch of the Daffodil, you have definitely captured it's essence. I am glad you joined us and hope to you will continue to join in. there will be a new challenge in April but you can go back and have a go at any of our past challenges at any time as long as the post in that challenge..To all our new friends please do add your names to the signiture line as Marsha suggested as all of us remember first names better than some of our rather strange user names.:)

Well I finished the fly catcher today. I think I said I don't like acrylics well I still don't like acrylics! Not keen on Canvas board either. Moan, moan!

5" x 7" canvas board with acrylics

This was done in a fairly limited pallete with paint left over from painting the cut outs. Light Blue, red, yellow, yellow ochre, lime green, black, white and brown.

Joyce, no way are these pretty dafodills messes! Do not thinks that ever again! You have captured the sweet flowers of Spring beautifully. I love their cheery orange centres! The blue/ purple background make them pop nicely. Great job!Yes

Jen, I can tell acrylics aren't your favorite, but I still really like this little guy. He's awfully cute and has a feisty attitude!

Joyce Lydia, I'm with Jen on this! I love the saturated blue behind the yellows - just beautiful - and the good job you did getting the daffodils to look in different directions. It's always tricky to show all the different angles that flowers face, and you did a great job with that. Most of all, it's so great to see you!

Alex
