He's probably thinking " oh boy she's going to be spitting feathers when she comes back and finds these funny looking eggs plus those extras" !!

Marsha your egg is fantastic! There is so much complicated detail in this and I like the way you've only used the color in the egg it's self. Very clever to portray it with a cracked piece out of it.

Jen I love this! I think you've portrayed the power of the bird by using black and white and then using bolder designs. I think the addition of the eggs with color gives this drawing so much charactor. Very nice job.

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes regarding my health.  It's so good to be home but the housework didn't go away while I was gone.  Guess I have to tackle some of that today.  Sigh.

Marsha, you are so creative.  Your latest egg is so beautiful and with lovely colors.  I agree that the spiraling egg holder would have been a challenge but you did it so well.  Neat idea to have a broken egg with the piece on the tiled table top.  I love this egg.  Ain't we got fun?  Some of you oldtimers will remember that song.

Jen, what do you mean that you don't have pretty Zentangle designs???  Look again at the beautiful kestrel you created.  I don't know where to start about your super designs since there are so many.  The first thing I noticed was how well you kept the definition of his face in spite of the intricate and varied patterns.  I think that is great.  Look at the gorgeous flowers on his neck and down his wing on our right.  Look at the really nice vines running down that same wing.  And the ruffled look at the base of his tail.  That is so nice.  This is a wonderful Zentangle.  Don't you ever think about putting down the imaginative work by my good friend, Jen.

Catherine - I like your pencil sketch! Soft delicate feel to it. (Don't know how I missed it before.)
Oh Catherine, flattery will get you everywhere. Thanks for undeserved compliment.
Your watercolor of the girl is coming along nicely - hope you can finish soon. Wondering if you will keep paper empty for the BG or inc. some color or BG from photo. Have enjoyed seeing everyone's take on this, but I have to admit that I'm too chicken to try it myself. I am STILL working on Feb. chall.!!

Wow, Sam, you checked in even during a hosp. stay! That's dedication. Saw later (much after fact) that you're home. Glad you are back in your own bed...hope you are doing better every day!!
Those eggs are terrific!!

Jen, my page doesn't show up like yours with the colors for the forum, etc., but I still see the words and you have a good tip for all (...I don't have an I-Pad or I-anything...maybe why mine looks diff.) - thanks.
Your hawk is perfect. Glad you shared that - so creative and inspiring!

Jim - that's a truly interesting, thought provoking ptg.. This style looks surreal to me and am drawn to this one.

Marsha - VERY well done and creative egg! Love it!

Oh boy Sammy, I didn't mean to get your steam up! I really wasn't putting me down when I made that comment. Marsha had asked about the zentangle book I got and I was just saying that for the kestrel because the segments were so small I could not get the more complicated flowing designs on him so I used just simple squiggles and circles. You seem to have already mastered some of those designs and I am still learning. Although I think it is just my nature I just want to plunge in and do before thinking it through!! LOL.Anyway glad you like my Kestral! :)

Jen, I was joking when I said don't put down my friend's artwork.  I come from a family of jokers with straight faces.  But, of course, you couldn't see my face.  I should have put a smiley face so that you would know I was joking.  I wish we had the animated laughing face that we have at Wet Canvas.  Anyhow, Wink will have to do.

Aubrey figure final. 6x3 inch on 9x12 wc cp. watercolor and brush only.  I'm not doing anymore to her but I do have some ideas for a background as there is plenty of breathing room on the paper. The head is ok in size in relation to the neck and shoulders and that was my focus. The challenge became the upper body and I was so focused on that I didn't pay attention to the length of her body when I painted her leg in. The nose is still not perfect but either. I might be able to do some magic and add some length to her leg area and tweek the area around her nose when I add the background It's not off too much and for a casual little watercolor it is still fine with me.

Seee! I'm looking at her up close via the screen and seeing areas in her face that need blended. Ok. maybe I'll tweek her face just a tiny bit more. The area around her mouth needs lightened a bit. When you put it under a microscope via 150% on the monitor you see all sorts of problems.  So nobody do that until I fix her again ;)

Bonnie well of course that was the first thing I had to do after that comment!!! LOL She is cute and you did a good job. I do think her head is too large in proportion to her body but as that was not the focus of what you were doing I think it is fine.

Phew Sammy, glad I am not in trouble. Yes, I understand that humour we do it all the time too but it helps to see the face and hear that inflection. I get in trouble here a lot as not everyone understands it! Brits tend to laugh at themselves.
