Good zentangle Jen.Your patterns are great, I really like the patterns with the flowers. I emailed my zentangle hearts to two neices who loved them and couldn't wait to colour them.

Jen, you have some really nice designs on the Zentangle egg.  I also like the flowers - both those on white and those on black.  Very pretty.  It is fun to do and can be additive.  Also, very relaxing.

Marsha, Bonnie, Sammy and Jean, thanks. Jean it is not that hard I was trying to (not very sucessfully ) reproduce a couple of shapes that were more complicated. It is just like when we were kids and made those free flowing figure eight shapes and then doodled shapes and colours in the small shapes we made. Mostly I did circles, squiggles, lines, dots and those simple flowers. Just go with the flow. Look on Utube there are loads of videos on it. It is really quite addictive once you start! :) You can do it!

Jen, your reference to doing the figure eights and filling in the spaces is exactly what I remembered when I started doing these. I remember in school you had to draw all these free flowing lines to music and then filled them in with patterns and colours. We didn't have access to these wonderful patterns though.

Nice one Jen, I'm afraid I don't have the patience to do that but here is my first cut for March 11x14 W/C sky and backround, the rest is Inktense watercolor pencils

Jen - Some snazzy zen designs there! I can see this on a real egg too.
Fred - WOW. This has nice shading and the colors on your cabin wood and the roof are beautiful. I think you have a winning combination with the w/c and those inktense w/c pencils.

Jen, a beautiful Zentangel! It's so neat to go from one beautiful pattern to another, looking at them all. My favorite patterns in the egg are the beautiful swooping designs that look like flower petals or butterfly wings in the lower left quadrant of the egg. Afraid to try ... It just looks addictive!

Fred, this combination of materials works wonderfully together and the soft focus as you get further away is beautiful. It's an excellent rendering of an old homestead with its roof dipping slightly in the center. I remember outhouses from a visit to an elderly person in the country when I was small (there was a pump in the yatd, too) and from Girl Scout camp about 55 years ago.

Fred, Very nice old house with suitable bathroom addition! You have captured a bright sunny day. Are they house hunting or just coming home?

Alex, Kim, Jim thanks for the kind words. So just for Marsha I spent the evening making coloured eggs. Not sure they are really Zentangles more just coloured eggs. I think I prefer black and white. it is more relaxing to do. I got new pens and a book on Zentangles but I think it was just too much information!

About 10 x 14 on recycled Bristol paper smooth side.and Steadtler triplus fineliner pens.

Not entirely successful and they look like they are on a flying carpet!!

Thank you everyone for liking the pictures...

FRED,  I put the old buildings in just for you,,,   I'm glad to see the old OH back...Your roof and siding are spectacular

I'm asking as well,  are they looking to move into this lovely abode or just looking as tourists in an old ghost town... don't forget about that old car...

JEN: OMG....  I love the black and white one BUT the colored Zentangle is absolutely beautiful....  this is certainly worth framing....   Wonderful Job.   I'm working on my first zentangle tonight too, but my eyes are going crosseyed, but yours in very inspirational.

Thanks, Marsha my eyes have totally gone. I lost the flow on the two back ones and I don't like the black lines on the yellow one, but it was fun and kept me quiet all night. Howard went off to bed and I am on my way. Look forward to seeing your zentangle. They are addictive.
