I made the good wife a red velvet cake but she spoiled it by getting off work early before I got it iced.

C&C welcome!
I am posting a couple of sketches from photos I took after a snow storm that left snow on everything. It was an overcast day and everything was black and white. I was trying out the indian ink pens purchased a long time ago and forgot I had. So using the ink with no ability to correct, they are not great but I enjoyed the process. The one with the house (really out of shape) I did because I wanted to try and do negative painting to get the snow that filled the bush in front of it. The other one in case you can't tell has a stream in front.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
I really like the one with the stream Bonnie but the other one is pretty good too
Jim C&C welcomed
Bonnie, I saw this earlier and was frustrated that my husband called to me before I could comment. It was time to go out. Of course, I knew there was a stream on the first one. You did a great job with those ink pens. I think these are very nice. The trees are well done. I like the cluster of buildings among the trees.
The tree on the second one is super. You did a great job suggesting snow. Well done.

Jen finished off the last piece about 1/2 hr. ago but when you show up I will just for you.
Geri, You are a champ!
Well Worked some more on Small One and really overworked the beater and BG. Having trouble with his fingers too. This is where I am today.
His mouth and tongue are not that red! I shrunk the beater a bit as it seemed to overwhelm. Probably should have just used a wooden spoon! I also moved his right shirt up as Howard said his neck was too long and I shrunk his tongue as the same chap said his tongue was too fat. I love engineers!
Hello all
OK, you should be getting over the shock of me posting about.........now. It's been a while. I've enjoyed seeing all new talent that's joined , as well as the old, er I mean , existing regulars and their exceptional talents :-) The comments have been spot on, it's truly a great place to share and learn. I apologize for my lack of posts and comments. I read 95% of all posts on my phone, just never seem to be where I can reply. I'll just say a grand hello to all y'all.
I had a little extra time this evening so I thought I'd work on on of the challenges for the month, the ever popular Kingfisher. I can't recall doing many bird paintings, so this is a little outside my landscape comfort zone. It's oil on 11x14 canvas. This was the best photo with the least glare. Enjoy
.
