Can someone please tell me if there is a difference between, Acrylic Liquid Glaze & Gloss Medium

for glazing. I saw a video on glazing where the liquid acrylic glaze was mixed with a small amount of

paint and put over another color.  Not really sure how to achieve transparent glazes, is it light over

dark or dark over light, same color or different.  Sorry for all the questions but I want to enhance

my acrylic painting (they look dull and flat) and really don't know how.  Thank you in advance for any

help anyone is willing to impart.

Hi Newcraft,

You can use both for glazing. It is possible, that Liquid Glaze is more liquid, but you can always add a bit of water to Acrylic Medium.

You can glaze dark over light and vice versa. You have to experiment with transparency of your glazes to see the effect.

All the best!
