Hello Geri, thanks for the glaze information. Salt does severely damage kilns, not allowed to use it when I was teaching. Have you tried Raku firing....wonderful results from that way.
coca-cola isn't advertised much over here...we have our own teeth destructing drinks! Haven't seen that advert with the cubs so thanks for that info too.

feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
Sarah, hang in there. Strangely enough when I got online to check on the weather where you are, I found that we were in for some damaging high winds from 11pm pacific time until late Monday with gusts up to 80 mph across our valley. well sure enough at 11pm it started. now the tree limbs are crashing against our house and the fireplace damper is moving up and down. this is just wind no rain yet. amazing that we are experincing it both at the same time... kind of connecting.... I'll check back with you later, right now its 4am here and I'm going to try to get some sleep with all the noise. I didn't paint tonight, I watched BBC and masterpiece theater all night with Mrs Marple.

C & C Always Welcome
Hello Marsha...all quiet now in this area. Wind has died down and it is now very cold. Wonderful aprict coloured sunset.
Do you mean Agatha Christie's Miss Marple...if so who was playing her part? More than one series. I have seen all of Agatha C's film and TV adaptations. At the moment we are being shown the last four of her Poirot stories with David Suchet as Poirot....he will have completed every single story at the end of the series.
Geri ~ Persimmon pudding is a new one to me...I checked the web to make sure you were not pulling my leg! Funny I have never heard of it....
Joyce ~ My my, already starting on the Christmas season, good for you! Your bear is going to be a fab card!
Sarah ~ Love your Holiday polar bear! I'm not up on your English football colors tho......I feel impelled to paint a bear now with red & blue scarf to support our nearest (& not so dearest) NFL team, the Buffalo Bills! hahaha
Comments and critiques are welcome.

Actually, Geri, I am "from" Indiana!! I was a Purdue U baby. I never played Euchre but have heard of the game. (I'm a fan of Texas Hold'em, myself)
Sarah ~ I have heard of your Manchester team ~ I do read a lot of English novels. Rosamond Pilcher is one of my favorites.
changed my avatar again...this is more like how I usually look...my glasses react to the light. Photo taken on the same day as the previous avatar.
How do I add a 'saying' ...do I use announcement???
I don't ever remember it being quite this quiet in the Chatter or Challenge.
Sarah, I'm glad you fared the unfair weather. We lost several trees in our neighborhood. but we didn't lose our power like your daughter did. In answer to your question, Julie McKenzie is Miss Marple on the series I am watching. I haven't see the Poirot stories this year, we have several series going on at the same time right now, The Paradise, Downton Abbey . last month we watched Foyle' War and Silk as well as Endeavour and Inspector Lewis.... as you can tell I love all of the BBC shows including the comedies, As Time Goes By, and currently showing the Doc Martin Series. I love them all....
Just to let everyone know, I will be posting the November Challenge Probably tomorrow sometime before the trick or treaters start arriving, we decorated the front walk way today so we are ready.... I have had a hard time deciding about the pictures and I took a few photos today for it, I am looking forward to some fun... and don't forget this will be our Second Annual Christmas Card exchange....
see you all then..... j"TRICK OR TREAT"
Marsha, looking forward to the card exchange again. It was so much fun last year!
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
Sarah, I don't know what happened to my post but I wrote a long chat with you about the British shows that I watch and when I posted it..... it never showed up.... I'm bummed.... so I will try again.
I am glad you fared the unfair weather, our neighborhood lost a couple of trees but no power was lost like what happened to your daughter.
Julie McKenzie plays the part of Miss Marple on this series, I haven't see the Poirot series this year, we are currently seeing Paradise, Downton Abby, and just finished Foyles War and Endeavour, and Silk as well as inspector Lewis and Mr. Selfridge. I am currently watching AGAIN As Time Goes By, and Doc Martin... I love both of those comedy series. I love all of them....
there now I have written it again... will try to post.....
Alex, so am I but am having the worst time choosing pictures. I may end up posting more than expected,,, oh well the more the merrier.... right?
Marsha, I agree - the more the merrier on the photos. And I, too, am loving those same shows from the British Isles.
