HOLLY!!! I was thinking about you the other day when the anniversary of Artist Daily was coming due in October. I'm glad to hear you are able to do the October Challenge.... It should be fun and I look forward to joining in. Welcome back home.
Nealy I forgot to mention, Did you do that quilted piece to sell? what a fun event it will be. Where is Chautauqua? does your quilting club have a designated person to do the machine quilting? Your patch work is amazing. are the feathers done with applique? what is the back like plain or printed? I'm just thrilled to look at such a piece.... again beautiful. now rest your eyes.....

C & C Always Welcome
Holly, it's good to hear from you. You are always welcome and you needn't be embarrassed by your absence. After all, you are the one who started this whole thing.
I have been having a difficult time. On Monday, I had my catheter ablation and it was successful as far as the Afib but it was discovered that my heart beats too slow. That may be why my meds made me feel so poorly since they slow down the heart. I have been doing nothing but resting all week. I'm not permitted to do my morning walk nor my evening stretching exercises until next week.
I need a pacemaker and will get that in about 4 to 6 weeks. Maybe I will get back to normal after that.
I drop in now and then be can't manage to even figure out what to say. Hopefully, my mind will also get more sharp after the pacemaker is installed.
I haven't forgotten that I'm scheduled to host the December Challenge. Have it just about all together already.
Sam/Sammy C & C Welcome

Fred beautiful soft colors and textures in your Sierra Mt piece. the Sierras are my stomping ground and I miss them.....
On my way to my Jazz now. I will be thinking of you and Ruthie dancing when the band is playing today......
SAM: so good to hear you had the procedure done. and hope it helps with some of the meds. I feel that when you get the pacemaker you will get more energy, My husband had that done and now he is like the energizer bunny.... I will keep good thought for it. December will be fun and I will do November and we will do what we did last year. just sit on your lanai and breath in the autumn air.... that is if Florida has that season.....
Sam, so good to hear from you! As with Marsha, I have friends who have gotten pacemakers and have been so much more energetic and feel so much better since getting them. Thinking of you ...
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
Sam what a nice surprise. I have been wondering about you lately and it is good yo hear that you are relatively alright..
C and C always welcomed
Good to see you back Holly. I was wondering about you too as I have not seen grumpy cat on face book either.
Fred, a very nice pastel of the mountains. I love the touch of blue in the meadow right at the foot of the mountains on the right and also the cool gray-blue in the mountain on the left ...
Fred, very nice pastel of the mountains. It looks like a bright and sunny day.
Sam, so glad to hear from you and that you are making progress with your health problems. Look forward to having you back with us, have been missing you. Take care.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated
Holly! So good to see you. Never be afraid to come back. Other people come and go all the time you are always welcome. Glad you are getting some painting done. We will look forward to the October Challenge.
Sammy, You have been so missed. I hope they can get you straightened out again and feeling more yourself. Heart medication can be a real bear. Take care and get well.
Nealey, You are one talented lady. I love this latest quilt. I looks like stained glass. Beautiful!
Fred. Interesting creatures here on earth and a beautiful landscape. Nice work
Jen C & C's always welcome
Well I started on the new painting today. Even at 11x14 it is still a lot of stuff on a small surface and it took a while to draw. I will have to enlarge the left hand folks as they are too small. I don't think proportions are quite right even then. I have had to do a lot of fixative spraying in order to fix to overlap shapes. It is not easy having no reference although the dance pictures Marsha sent really helped. I may have to move the so called creepy guy and bring him into the picture more. He is playing with his IPod a modern witch!! Gotta have one in the crowd! I am trying to keep the dance floor bright and put the outer limits in shadow. It may still go in the bin! I think I will pull the stage over to the right too. I don't know much about bands so just got keyboard, drums and base to accompany Marsha. Probably not the right combo!!I just did what I could sorta draw or suggest!
Any suggestions appreciated.
Jen, this is a very ambitious and difficult project because of its complexity and the absence of an overall reference photo. There are so many charming figures and activities to look at. I don't have any suggestions but look forward to seeing how it will develop.
so good to know that you are able to look in at last. Looking forward to seeing the December Challenges.

Fred I didn't catch the names being colors. Does YRG have a cousin named YBO?? Nice story.. I also like your alpine lake. A nice scenic landscape.
