Geri - Very nice picture - I really like the background variations in color as well as the colors you used - I also like the layout - I think I woudl have added a little more shadowing on the bottom leaves as you did with the top right one & also the lower petals by the center of your flower - Nice Job! I haven't had the nerve to try watercolor as yet!
Marsha - I agree with Sam - Beautiful Job!!
Judy C&C appreciated
My goodness you all came back on a roll. I have had a bad leg so not been sitting much but just to show I am paying attention I did this quick sketch this afternoon. Not good but I liked the reflections in the glass. Just my sketch pad and a 2b pencil.
sorry about that i did turn it around but apparently the computer had other ideas! You get the idea. just a quick pencil sketch not up to the standard of all the lovely work you guys have done. will comment on everyones next.
Jen C & C's always welcome
Fred, I love your version of the old house. The bears are very hard working and even moved it to the mountains. Are the newly weds about to have cubs and need a bigger house.
Joyce. wonderful water drops! I always have to have someone show me again how to do them as I can never quite rememeber. You have come a long way baby!
Joyce nice use of pastels on the Bg works welll with your flower. Good job.
James so good to see you and bringing the fairy back. Nice work on the flower.
Geri, i like how you did the soft bg to make the flower stand out. you are doing well with manipulating WC.
Marsha, I love your vibrant pink flower. It really glows!!
Thank you all for the compliments.
Geri: "a few negative comments especially from Marsha..." I have been here well over a year now and I don't feel comfortable or qualified to do a lot of critiquing as I am still learning, if I do see something that really stands out to me I will say something. There are many folks here that are more qualified than me. I might agree with someone else's critique, but I might disagree. I just like to find a story in the painting. I didn't realize I gave such negative comments. I have received many critiques and have grown from them all, just ask Sam, Jen, Sandi, and the many others that have guided and helped me along my path, just as they will help you along your path. If you want a comment from me regarding your pansy I will add this... : your back ground has beautiful colors in it but if you darken the background next to the pansy and the leaves on the lower side, it will make the foreground pop more. I learned that from Sam along time ago..
MARSHA
C & C Always Welcome
It takes courage to learn about oneself from one’s failures as well as from one’s successes.
Geri, nice flower looks good to me I love the back ground. Joyce

All C & C's always welcome
James nice rose, Sammy told me once that yellow was a hard colour to work with and you have done it well.
Marsha, beautiful flower nice colours and just plain beautiful.................I love it!
Marsha I am sorry if my post came across as an attack toward you. I just think you handle watercolor very well and I respect your opinion. I am sorry if I stepped on any toes. Sometimes I come across different than I intend. Please don't hold it against me.
I do like to read the god job comments and sometimes I see things wrong with my work but don't know how to fix them. Any negative comments help me solve my any problems my work may have. Sorry again.
C and C always welcomed
Hello everybody!!!
I love the work of everybody here. You always do so colorful things! I love to WATCH things like that, but I never try it because I always ruin it at the end. It seems watercolors are IN now I've never been able to do anything with watercolors... it seems I'm not enough patient and I do a mess with the different colors. That's why I love color pencils: You don't have to wait for them to dry
But you guys are making me feel a little jealous... I think in the next days I'll ruin some papers with watercolor mess...
Well this is my "Daisy glass" drawing. No fairies (yet). I know the cup's shape isn't right. I always have problems to draw cups, vases and all that kind of things. At least both sides are the same... something very difficult to me (almost impossible )
Colored pencils in 100 gr/m2 cream-color paper 15 cm x 9,5 cm.
(FRED: Did you ever illustrate "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"?)
Lore
C&C PLEASE!!!
"... to have been loved so deeply, even thought the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever. It is in your very skin."
JEN I hope you get better soon!
Jen, I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your leg. Please recover quickly - take it easy. Your sketch is nice and appreciated since you are not well.
Lore, you don't need to apologize for what medium you use. Colored pencils are in also. The cup of your painting is excellent. You did the glass so well. All those swirling white reflection at the bottom wouldn't have been easy and they look terrific. The reflections on the bowl are very good, also. You did a wonderful job with that flower. I would like the flower to be brighter but you chose to do it soft and delicate which is a matter of personal taste. This is a wonderful painting. I enjoy seeing your work.
Sam/Sammy C & C Welcome

Jim C&C welcomed
SAM thank you for your kind words! Sometimes I defend color pencils because some people thinks they are a little "childish" jajaja
JAMES thank you! I am happy... but I could be happier. Cups, vases, jars, etc. are my karma.
