Hey everyone, I started Painting a little over a year ago and about 7 months ago I decided to try my hand at portriats as i dream of being a portrait artist so take a look at it and tell me what you think!
This is very nice. It may need a little work with some shadowing. Looks like you got the proportions right and the hair looks good.

thanks Charlie! I wish i had taken a new picture, i took this when the paint was still wet, but after it dried the shadowing that i did showed up more. Not that i couldn't have used more shadowing. On my second portrait i made sure not to be so scared of the shadows and went wild with them. of course the 2nd one isn't done yet lol! but its of whitney houston. Thank you for your comment charlie! man proportions are a hard thing on ppl especially famous ppl! if i painted a non famous person and posted it up here as long as it looked great no one would know i didn't get the person right. but with famous ppl everyone knows if you mess it up. so thank you for commenting on the proportions too!
I really like this, you have really captured her 'coy' look beautifully ! It's undeniably Princess Diana. I think it's really very good but agree with Charlie on perhaps a little more of the shadowing.
