I used a krylon acrylic coating on a charcoal drawing and even though I did in in a garage with the door open, it still stank.

Is there something that is non toxic and non smelly? I don't particularly like aerosol cans. Something that is liquid in a manual spray bottle would be even better.

The drawings I'm spraying are of very little value. They are my drawing class work. I want to fix them so I that when I look at them a few months later, the charcoal would not have smeared or fallen off causing the dark areas to fade.

I'm a beginner in art but a great lover. I have used this krylon acrylic coating once and I had the same.

If somebody has a better suggestions, I will appreciate, too.

This may sound crazy but I use hairspray. If not aerosol use a pump spray but make sure you don't get any drips with the pump.  This I learned many years ago in high school art class.  Good luck!
