A new oil painting that is just about finished except for the plaid shirt (which has been extremely time consuming) and a few other details. I plan to enter it into an art competition next month
What a fantastic scene! Your detail is awesome especially in the little boys checkered shirt. I would not have had the patience to do that. I like that you didn't detail out the background trees. The shadows on the bluish barn door I think is my favorite part. This is really wonderful:-)
Thanks for the encouraging remarks! I am usually pretty patient in terms of detail but the plaid really tested that patience for sure. I worked on it a little more today so I could finish in time for the contest deadline which is June 30.
