Marsha- I am loving your experiment too. This one looks very nice. The blue mix is clear and fresh. Good job. I think you got it, my friend.
I think Sammy might be busy with her Facebook account that she has just started to keep her grandson's photos or something of that sort. She said she made a mistake of inviting every one on her e-mail list to join as she only wants to keep it only for family. I received her message but did not receive her invitation so I did not respond thinking if I keep quiet she will know that I did not receive the invitation. To start up something new takes time I am sure she will come back to join us here soon.
C&C are welcome and appreciated.
Maronna- In my previous comment about Amaryn's arm, I did not mean to ask you to redo it. My comment was in general in case of next time when we encounter something like that in the photos. Your painting of Amaryn is very beautiful, clean and fresh and bright. I love it and I am sure her parents will love it too.
Sandi, you deserve a pat on the back for posting a painting you're not fond of. I agree about the flowers being too busy. You did the distant mountains beautifully.
Marsha, the gull looks good. I like that he is surveying his kingdom. You have very nice colors in this aerial view land/seascape. I like the little village across the water.
Sam/Sammy C & C Welcome

Maronna, super job on the baby. You captured his smile and gesture. I like the sky and grass, too. Very cute painting and well done.
James, the frog seems to be very interested in those cocktails! I like the way you did the foliage.
Marsha, you are an experimenter. Interesting technique and I have no doubt that you will master it.
Geri I missed this blue seascape of yours I spoted it today besides the fact that I like it I would like to know since I am new to WC is Arches a brand or a type ? we make infrequent trips to our nearest art store it's 40 miles so I want be sure of what I buy all I have now is a WC notebook and I want to get 14x20 size I want to get even though I am a beginner to use as you state to use the best
thank you James
Jim C&C welcomed
James go to the chatter page and I will try and explain the paper.
C and C always welcomed
Thank you Geri ,
I am not really happy with this I 've failed to capture her image
hi all, this is what i could have finished for the challenge
James Wow! - You have captured her image with your own style and it is great! The hair is right on, so is the mouth and her little pink tongue.
I love the background that set her up real nice. The blouse is also good. I have to argue with you that I don't think you failed. In fact it is a lovely image of her. Well done.
James, her little mouth and tongue look really good. I think you did a good job on this. You captured the essence of her.
Se.artista, you did a good job on the still life. I think that the distortions of the photograph confuses people into thinking that the water level is at an angle. As Geri pointed out, water is always level (a straight line). That is a difficult still life to do.
You did an excellent job on the drawing of the baby. As Jen said, you captured her gesture. Thanks for sharing these with us.
Se-artista- You got a WOW too even with just prelim. drawings. These promise to be very good when they are finished. If you fix the water level in the jug to go along with the eclipse of the top opening of the jug, it will even be greater. It is good as it is now.
You chose the smaller picture of Amaryn and that is great since I think that baby pictures are difficult but you seem to do it right and she looks really cute and lovely already, maybe because you are used to drawing figures. Good job. Please keep going on. I am sure all of us are cheering for you and would love to see the finished drawings.
Jen and Sandi to answeryour questions about my bug I have been fighting a cellulitis infection for a couple months and too many antibiotics can kill good bacteria too causing other problems causing my three day stay nothing to serious thanks for your concern thanks for your comments on my frog and princess work
Thank you Marsha I love Maronna's Painting too I missed the part about gouache
Thanks Sandi there was just something about her expression I thought I missed
Thanks Sam I liked what I did with her mouth I tryed a new pallette for shading and really liked it
Teacher artist I think your lemonade tray is great it would have been nice if you could have finished the portrait butyou have outlined it very well
Hey Ladies and Gentlemen- I reworked on my Oregon Coast some more. Geri, sorry about the flowers -they are still here but I dimmed them down as you suggested. Jen, I fixed the perspective on the curve line I think it maybe proper but it looks a little bit funny to me. However for the love of arts I will repost it. After this it will go into File No. 13.
