Ah, but Eric I see that you DID get 20 points for answering my question (oddly so did I) ... If we keep responding to each other will be keep accumulating 20 pts?  LOL  ;-)

Well, now, Eric--your answer made me think of a bunch of moderators huddled around a table with green eyeshades and abacuses (abaci?), calculating points.  How is it really done?  Thanks for the info.  Deb

We're just using the default system and points allocation that came with Community Server. Honestly, I don't want to post the specific points info because I don't want people doing things just to rack up points that have no meaning anyway.  I guess we could just shut down the points system altogether, but I'd rather not see us do that either because I think it's kind of fun!

I hope everyone understands. What we want is a community where everyone just does what they want to do to help them and others with pursue their passion for creating art.

Although I wonder what I'd look like with green eyeshades...   Geeked

I think feedback from readers is more important than points anyway. For me, this forum isn't about impressing others with my knowledge, being clever, or boasting -- rather it's a place where we can all grow from each others experience.

Love that questions can be answered by a rather large group of artists and art lovers.

So you are saying asking about the point system is

pointless! At least temporarily! I just gave you 20 points, did'nt I!!

Thanks for clearing up the questions about the post/points system.  Is there clarification on how many points for which
functions? Is it amount of text or areas of  the community.
