hello Artists,

The 3 pencils drawing method (black, terra-cotta, white), better said, the results, fascinate me.

I bought 2 of Mr Roberto Liberace's dvds, on this subject. I regret he didnt explain why the temperature of some shadows require the use of a terracotta pencil or a black pencil. But again, he's drawing with a model and he only has to look and see it...

Im not grasping of the technique entirely. If I had a model, I could come up with a satisfactory result. Im a good observer. But drawing from imagination is not that easy. I found some great drawings made in 3 crayons (Watteau, others), I hope I will one day understand the physical laws that make the light and shadows interact with the subject.

If anyone in the Blog section pick up this subject, I would be delighted. Any of the members' input will also be greatly appreciated.

sincerely,

Mon Graffito
