HaHa! Guess I know why I'm not an architect. But Holly! What a fun challenge! It's about 7 x 9 on the crop. OP on colored paper. Messy stuff.
Thank you Jen- I may try the armchair for Holly's sugar kettle.
Cindy...last name Learn- C&C's always welcome.
Cindy, you used beautiful colors on this building. The green plants look super against the warm peach. I give you credit for tackling this. You did a good job with a difficult composition. Looking forward to seeing what you do in the armchair tonight.
Sam/Sammy C & C Welcome

Cindy: Great job on this really obnoxious challenge! The colours are wonderful and you did a good job on the arches too. Maybe I will get one more done.
C & C's always welcome
Cindy - I agree with Sammy - I just love the colors in this one. And you got such good detail in such a tiny little space with OPs - that's amazing! Yeah - OPs can be messy, but the clean up is really easy. They are certainly my medium of choice - although, I am beginning to really like wc pencils, too. I am also trying to figure out how to use oil sticks but I'm not sure I am doing them justice.
I also agree with Jen - this one was definitely obnoxious - but I did love it's beauty! I promised I would post my progress on this one, so here it is. It's 8 x 10 and done (so far) with Mungyo Gallery Extra Soft Oil Pastels. I was feeling like this one was a disaster, but I did get a chance to work on it more yesterday and I think I may have finally almost gotten most of the "hard parts" so now I can go back to it to add in the "fun parts".
Holly
C & C always welcomed and encouraged.
Holly, This is super. Love the arches and color. It looks like it's going to be a winner.
I agree with Sammy! It looks like it's going to be a winner! The space inside the arches looks like you could live there!
Cindy your arch building is nice, the colours are so warm. Good job!
Joyce
All C & C's always welcome
Holly your arch/house is look'n good so far, make sure you post it when done..
Fred where are your bears now, have they left Jerusalem? Where oh where are those bears? I'm feeling better and trying to read each comment so I'm sure later I will see where those good looking bears are.....Fred your brick work is nice good job.
Cindy your crocus is cute and well done. Masking fluid? I've seen it and need to run to the store and get it so my crocus's look as good.
Thank you Joyce! I tried to use the masking fluid to save the whites and my crocus ended up darker than I would have liked. I spent a lot of time trying to fix and blend the edges so they wouldn't be so sharp. I learned I don't like masking fluid so much, although some artist know how to use it.
Hope your golfing trip was good. I applied to get Masters tickets next year. I grew up in Augusta and my dad would get tickets for the practice rounds, so I used to watch it most every year when I was a kid. I don't play but I can play a mean round of PuttPutt.
Holly: Beautiful job on the obnoxious arches. You got them girl! It's goiing to be great. Glad you actually had some time this week. It's good to see you popping in to chat and post. We miss you when you are gone.
While looking over my planting book I found a crocus named the same as my husband minus the i and double er.
Joyce, nice colors and shape. Interesting that the flower is named after your husband.
So cool, Joyce - Great job on the crocus! Love that purple/violet.
