Hi, I am from West Virginia, Although I have read the newsletter for ages I never clicked on the forum button before.

I draw and paint and take photos. I also work with an artist co-op here, pormoting original artwork and local artists. Each year I help run 3 open entry shows as well as solo shows and different club shows in the area.

What does everyone else do?

Welcome to Artist Daily! Sounds like you are very involved in your art and supporting your local artists - I applaud you! Looking forward to seeing your work!

thanks for the welcome.

I try to stay involved. I hear all the time from other artists about the lack of opportunities for them, but I feel we as artists need to make our own opportunities in our communities. We need to lead not wait for outsiders. I teach beginner classes, but other artist teach adult and mature studio classes.

this is my Gallery's webisite. where you can see current shows and future opportunities, http://www.orgsites.com/wv/renaissance/index.html

and this is my personal website:http://tschantz.myexpose.com/ and blog:http://starrpoint.blogspot.com/

I haven't figured out how to post to this site yet, but I will!
