I'm 22 years old. Starting drawing for 3 years. This is my third piece with charcoal. Thanks for your comments!

You've worked hard to have developed this level of skill in three years. Do you work from a model?

Indeed. It really brings it to life. It may also be the contrast.

Good decision to use the white sparingly. It really makes the eyes focus on key areas of interest.

@ EdnaParkWaller: yes, i worked from models at school 1 year ago. But now, i work at home. I draw from a picture. Still searching high and low a person who wants to be painted by me ^^

@KevinBrown88: I'm a graphic designer. But i have a passion for Fine art. I've tried with many different mediums, such as: charcoal, watercolor, oils, soft pastel... But my favorite one is oil painting. Have you seen my painting in oil?

@whawkins: thank you!

Your choice of paper color is a bold one, and it works for a wonderfully dramatic effect. You did a really good job at staying true to the blue (rhyme not intended) as the middle value, which can be tricky to do considering how it is different from what we (think we) know to be real.
