I visited Maryland this past June.  What a pretty state!  Took a trip to the Potomic with it white water.  Just awesome!  I took some photos and after looking at them, I decided to paint from this one.  Painting the white water sort of scared me, but I decided to give it a try.  Here is the result.  I welcome all critiques on my humble efforts.

Wow, Phil, this is great. It beats the heck out of my ugly rock painting. I just entered mine under one of the threads in mixed media. I tried to save it with my new gouche paints (now it is a mix of transparent, opaque, and gouache watercolor). The gouache helped. It went all the way from ugly-ugly to just ugly.

Yours is terrific. I especially like what you did with your rushing water.

Phil,

The white water really makes this painting! You've got a nice sense of movement here. I can almost hear its roar. It may have scared you to paint the white water, but your risk paid off. Nice job.
