Any tips on excercises I can do to paint in a more loose style? My paintings tend to be very tight. Loved the demo. Thanks for sharing.

try paint without sketching or drawing. go in with light strokes to indicate your proportions and composition. this may prevent you from painting inside any lines and loosen your paintings. Or try blocking in the colours wet on wet and adding finite details dry. this method creates great gradients of tones while the dry, sharp details develop point of focus. former and current masters of this are john singer sargent and craig mullins. good luck.
