Watching an Artist at Work

Just back from the studio filming artist Mario Robinson for some upcoming art instruction videos, and there's nothing more inspiring than watching an artist work! Seeing the way he used his pastel for small detail and wide sweeps, lifting it up at the end of the stroke with flair. Watching as he allowed the mineral spirits to take his oil paints in drips down the paper for a contemporary background on his portrait painting. I went right home and dusted off my pastels and actually painted–actually lost myself for awhile in the process of making art.

If you love to see artists in action and want to learn new techniques and be inspired to make your own art, I can think of nothing better than to try our free trial, going on now.

Take advantage of our FREE TRIAL Weekend at

You can view any and all of the video workshops through October 20th. With nearly 400 videos to choose from, we know you'll find something you'll enjoy!
