The first museum retrospective of work by George Tooker in three decades will be on display at the National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts, in New York City, through January 4, 2009. Jointly organized by the National Academy Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Columbus Museum of Art, this exhibition aims to reveal the full scope of Tooker’s achievements by bringing together 66 paintings and drawings made by the artist since 1945.
