The California Art Club recently held its 97th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, in Pasadena, California. More than 180 artists participated in the event, and among the artists receiving awards were John Asaro, who received the Gold Medal for Painting for Pavane for a Dead Princess; Christopher Slatoff, who received the Gold Medal for Sculpture for his piece Fr. Electrico; Joseph Paquet, who received the Edgar Payne Award for Best Landscape for Roman Temple Ruins; and Jeff Yeomans, who won the Gold Medal for Best Urban Landscape for No Pictures Allowed.
