The large-scale acrylic work of Susan Swartz is the focus of this exhibition at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, in Salt Lake City, the artist’s first major museum show at this location. Featuring approximately 20 large-scale paintings, as well as some smaller pieces, the show illustrates the focus of the artist’s work for the last 40 years and examines the diverse forms and rich metaphorical associations with nature. The exhibition is made up of various groupings of landscapes, trees, water scenes, and water lilies, depicting Swartz’s variety in theme, from classic to truly abstract interpretations of nature.
