The Frick Collection, in New York City, and the Louvre, in Paris, co-organized this exhibition of work by French artist Gabriel de Saint-Aubin. The Frick Collection is the exclusive North American venue for the show, which includes masterpieces from both European and North American collections. Although little known to the general public, Saint-Aubin is highly regarded by scholars and admirers of 18th-century French art, and the work presented in this exhibition features a selection from the artist’s oeuvre in painting, drawing, and etching.
