“The Baird Collection of Early California Paintings” will be on display at the Monterey Museum of Art, in Monterey, California, through April 22. Selections from this important collection will be offered at auction at the Monterey Museum of Art—La Miranda on Sunday April 22. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the programs and activities of the museum. The preview and sale will feature a selection of paintings encompassing a variety of early California subject matter, including landscape, portraiture, and still life. Artists featured in the collection include William Clapp, Rindaldo Cuneo, Helen Forbes, M. Evelyn McCormick, and Charles Rollo Peters.
