Q: I would like to put a finish on several oil paintings.
Damar provides the depth I am looking for, but it’s a little too glossy
for my taste. Any other suggestions?
A: Sennelier produces a variety of varnishes that will
offer matte, satin, or glossy finishes. These products are acid-free,
non-yellowing, and rapid-drying. Be sure to apply them only to artwork
that is completely dry.
